Job Description
MIRARCO Mining in partnership with the Goodman School of Mines, Laurentian University
Job Duties
- Manage student employees:
- collect resumes, conduct interviews, manage on-boarding, training and schedules, confirm record checks, ensure students are performing their duties
- Ensure all Equity, Diversity, Inclusion plans and practices are being followed
- Ensure all Health and Safety practices are being followed
- Attend meetings, as scheduled and regularly communicate with Project Manager and Program Coordinator.
- Manage social media pages, promotions and interactions
- Assist with the advertising and marketing campaign
- Assist with event logistics
- Assist with project reports
- Assist with the distribution and collection of stakeholder surveys
- Delegate project tasks to team members
- Assist with keeping the project on-time and within budget
Job Qualifications:
- College Diploma or Bachelors Degree
- Management and leadership experience
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects on time and within budget
- No criminal record and willing to have a Criminal Record Check
- Familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel, GoogleDocs/sheets)
- Bilingual (English/French) preferred
Work Study Qualifications:
Students must submit a Work Study application to [email protected] to verify eligibility
for the program. Even students who have previously participated in the Work Study program
must reapply every term.
To qualify, students must:
- Be taking a minimum 60% course load (40% for students with a disability) throughout the
fall/winter terms.- To be eligible for work study in the summer term, students must be returning to a
post-secondary institution in the subsequent fall/winter terms.
- To be eligible for work study in the summer term, students must be returning to a
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
