Job Description

Weaver, Simmons LLP is seeking a Litigation Assistant to join our Sudbury office. The individual will be working with a Litigation Lawyer, whose practice is primarily focused on Civil Litigation.

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

  • Corresponding with clients and other law offices as required and document preparation, including pleadings, trial records, and transcription of reports on examination for discoveries;
  • Scheduling appointments and meetings;
  • Opening and closing files;
  • Clerical support;
  • Preparation of affidavits of documents, and compiling and service of interlocutory materials;
  • Preparing client invoices\accounts; and
  • Other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Maintaining confidentiality;
  • High attention to detail;
  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively;
  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently and within a team environment;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (bilingual is an asset);
  • High reliability and accuracy;
  • Highly organized; and
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe software, as well as Zoom and other virtual platforms.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday
